Dr. Jackson received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University and completed medical school at Midwestern University in Chicago and Phoenix. Having an accomplished family physician as a father, Dr. Jackson knew from an early age that he desired to be a physician. Further direction was provided during his undergraduate years when he was able to spend extensive time with a distinguished hand surgeon in San Diego, California and peformed research on the surgery for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. From that point on, Dr. Jackson became dedicated to learning the skills necessary to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to the hand and upper extremities in order to restore function and enhance individual lives.

During his residency in orthopedic surgery at Ohio University, he served as chief resident in his final year and then undertook his surgical fellowship training at Tufts University-New England Medical Center in the Combined Hand/Upper Extremity. Before moving to Houston, Dr. Jackson practiced in Austin and California in hand/upper extremity and general orthopedic surgery. He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Jackson is interested in nearly every form of art, sports, culture, outdoor activity and environmental pursuit, but tends to spend most of his time with his wife and two young daughters, building computers, listening to music and exercising at the gym while thinking about planning his next marathon.
